NH Bird Management has no ties to equipment manufacturers or Bird Control service providers, and offers advice based only on the local needs.

NH Bird Management seeks to identify the local problems and provide local solutions that can be implemented by the Airport's on-site staff.

While knowledge of wildlife biology and environmental factors are crucial, birds alone do not cause bird strike problems.

The knowledge and attitudes of the humans involved also have a major effect. It has been proven that on sites where staff and management fully understand the problems and the means to combat them, airport bird control is more efficient.

NH Bird Management sees the training of local airport staff as a key element in the success of any Bird Control programme.

Training courses can be tailored to individual needs but the basic 4-day course includes topics on :

• Bird biology
• Bird behaviour
• Habitat management methods
• Man operated bird deterrent measures
• Management of bird control operations
• Firearms safety training

The courses can be held on or off-site.
