Collisions between birds and aircraft will always occur but the risk of severe damage can be reduced with the proper application of bird control techniques.

Bird control on airports is essential to flight safety and is inexepensive compared to the potential risks and possibility of litigation.

Airport managers need to be aware of the wildlife hazards on their airports and to take appropriate action.
